This Cookie Policy explains how LVL Up Performance ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the lvlupperformance.com website and the LVL Up Performance platform (collectively, the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which describe how we collect and use the personal information you provide.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time so you do not have to keep re-entering them every time you come back or browse from one page to another.
We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of these collectively as "cookies." Some cookies are set by us directly (first-party cookies); others are set by third-party services we rely on to operate the Service (third-party cookies).
2. Cookie Categories
We group the cookies we use into four categories based on what they do.
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary to operate the Service. They support authentication, session management, security (including CSRF protection), Row Level Security context, and load balancing. The Service cannot function properly without them, so they cannot be turned off in our system. Examples include your Supabase Auth session token and our internal session identifier.
Preference Cookies
These cookies remember the choices you make so we can give you a more personalized experience. They store things like your theme (light/dark mode), dashboard layout, language, time zone, and recently used navigation. Disabling them will not break the Service, but it will reset your preferences on each visit.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors and signed-in users interact with the Service so we can improve performance, fix bugs, and prioritize new features. They record aggregated and de-identified data such as which pages are viewed, how long sessions last, and which actions lead to errors. We respect Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser and will suppress analytics cookies when either is enabled.
Marketing Cookies
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies inside the authenticated LVL Up Performance application. On our public marketing pages, we may set a small number of first-party cookies to measure the effectiveness of campaigns (for example, to attribute a sign-up to a referral source). We do not sell your personal information and we do not participate in cross-site advertising networks.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The Service relies on a small set of trusted sub-processors. Each of the following providers may set cookies (or use equivalent storage) when you interact with the Service. This list matches the third parties disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
- Supabase Auth: Sets session and refresh cookies that keep you signed in across visits and enforce Row Level Security. These are essential. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Sets cookies on checkout and billing pages for fraud prevention, to remember your billing session, and to protect against card testing. These are essential whenever payment flows are in use. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Vercel Analytics: Collects aggregated, privacy-friendly traffic metrics about which pages are visited and how the Service performs. It does not use cross-site tracking cookies and does not build advertising profiles. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
We do not control cookies set by these third parties on their own domains. Please review each provider's privacy and cookie policies for details on the cookies they set and how to manage them.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You have several ways to control which cookies are stored on your device.
Consent Banner
On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Analytics are loaded only if you choose Accept — if you decline, dismiss the banner, or simply never answer, the analytics scripts are never requested. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal we skip the question entirely and treat it as a decline.
Browser Settings
All major browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. You can usually find these controls under "Privacy," "Security," or "Site Settings." Useful starting points:
Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or using core parts of the Service. Blocking preference cookies will reset your settings every time you visit.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Most modern browsers can send a Do Not Track (DNT) header or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal with each request. When we detect either signal, we suppress analytics cookies for your session. Essential cookies remain active because they are required for the Service to function.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, the third-party services we rely on, or applicable law. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will also notify account administrators by email.
